2 trophys at 2013 Off Road Expo San Luis!

We never though to take the project to Show Expos, but as the project it's been finished we decided to take it to one and we were surprised with 2 trophys, we are so happy and really excited to keep with the project

New CV axles installed!

Finally the NEW CARDONE CV AXLES arrived from Summit Racing and were installed, camparing both (the old ones and the new CARDONES axles) the new one seems a little toughter, hopefully this ones should resist a little more, next friday we're headin to "El Golfo de Santa Clara" first Blenali visit to "El Machorro" we'll see how goes for the Blenali, pictures and videos coming up next week, hava a nice weekend and hope to see you at "El Golfo" those shrimps are not going to eat themselfs Hahaha!

Getting ready for the next event...

Last time at the Dunes going up hill at a Dune cone called "El Volcan" when I was almost at the top, I broke a CV drive axle, I think I push the #blenali to it's limits. So I just ordered a new pair from summit racing and we will be installing them this week. Hopefully it's going to be ready for the next event at el Golfo de Santa Clara.

Almost finish!

Well, so far so good, we're very pleased with the appearance of "THE BLENALI" and with the performance as well, the project is not finished yet, however we've tested and ride it at the desert(you can check some videos on Youtube, and a couple in this post as well)details are been fixed and upgraded. lot of fun is coming... http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/vv147/quekura/IMG_1372.jpg

Phase 6 body and paint

After finishing the Aluminium Roll cage, Bumpers and suspension, we bring her back to the body shop. started first with the fenders, we put the tires on to measure the width fit the tires just right. then the preparation for the paint, we choose a aluminium silver to match all the aluminium we put in it.

PHASE 5

It's been a while since my last post. but the project stills runing, well, I mean walking since it been a little slow, has we are trying new way of doing things. Like the Aluminiun ROLL CAGE, BUMPERS, AND SEATS. Yeap! All that made of Aluminium.

After installing the body to the Denali Frame, the adaptations to fit all the components to the blazer wasn't easy. a lot of things where modified, THE GAS TANK AND PUMP, THE DASH, STEERING WHEEL COLUMN, THE TRANSFER CASE, RADIATORS, AIR FILTER, BATERY BASE, AND A LOT MORE.

Making the Aluminium roll cage was a real chellenge too, since it was the first time for Victor Martinez to do a job like this

in the picture above this one you can see the aluminium weldig, it takes 4 to 5 times to weld aluminium insted of steel.

The skidplate was made of a 1/4 thick aluminium sheet, and computer engraved.

The bumper should hold 4 Rally 4000 of 100W (I show them on the next post)

The seats were made of an aluminium frame as well, reaching an aprox. 5 kilos(11pounds) total weight each.

4 2.5 remote reservoir FOX SHOX will be installed, right now we just installed the rears, as the front suspension will be a little more complicated as I like hahaha.

Phase 4.2

By this time the project it's taking form, so far so good it's 14 weeks to this point, all the new parts will be assembled this week, they've been waiting anxious in their respective boxes in a little dark room of the garage.
